Halloween 2009

I finally decided to make the traditionnal halloween party with the theme myth and legend from the world.It seem not too much difficult.The invitations were send october 1st but I normally plan this 3-4 month before october.

For me it mean I have to work harder .Cleaning the appartement is probably the worst , since we rarely receive visitors cleaning is not so important but I want everything shining for halloween.I want our guest to remember this party .They do receive bag of candies , a cup (new from this year) and the food of course will reflect the world too .

To give an idea of last year to my readers , I show you pictures from last year.The making of the punch is always a challenge , we did eyes with litchies fill with blueberry but making an hand is hard.We have try with jello , juice , water but the fingers always break.

For my costume , I will be the green faery.For those who do not know there is an alcool call Wormwood ( absinthe in french).Wormwood(artemisia absinthium)is a plant that really not smell good and contain a component toxic.I don't know who get the idea to make alcool with that but this person was not a genius.Those who drink to much of it says " I saw green faery" because they were intoxicated.It could be potentially deadly.Some say the green faery in wormwood want your soul.Today wormwood is a controlled name and the toxic component is extract before being sell to the public.

For my costume , I do have wings and a wig.I do not know how much time I will have to put to prepare it but I'm sure of one thing , do not expect to see a picture of it before halloween.
